
6th BABUL ECO FILM FEST is 1-5th June 2022 is now accepting submission of environmental films. Main venue is the historical Sri Saradhi Studios, Hyderabad. BEFF has the following sections:
[1] Competitive – Short Film Contest (SFC) <5 minutes on the topic ENVIRONMENT with total prize money of ₹25,000 [Indian Entries] [2] Animation Short film on the topic Environment with total prize money of $ 350 [Global Entries] [3] Non Competitive – Eco Film Screening (EFC)<120 minutes Any Environmental Film. [4] Films on the topic of ONLY ONE EARTH which is the theme for World Environment Day 2022 announced by UNEP. [5] Films about Environment and Pandemic Global <100 MinsThere will also be Side Events like photo exhibitions, Eco-friendly kiosks, Master Classes, Panel Discussions etc.,
To ensure wider participation, films of all genres are allowed including the ones made by mobile. Jury composed of experts from the field of Environment and Cinema will judge the Short Films and also Eco Films for screening. Emphasis will on the content rather than on technicals. This is done with an intention to encourage debut film students and common people dealing with current ecological issues and also possible solutions. However, we very much appreciate films with powerful environmental content and with high production values.
