As per Article 51A(G) of the Indian Constitution, it is every citizen’s fundamental duty to protect the environment. To make this duty engaging and impactful, Babul NGO presents FunDuChallenge (FDC)—a nationwide movement available in 22 languages!
We also promote Article 48A of the Constitution of India – the state should protect and improve the environment, and safeguard the country’s forests and wildlife. It was added by the 42nd Amendment in 1976.
What is FunDuChallenge?
FunDu Stands for Fundamental Duty of the Constitution of India. We all enjoy Rights but many do not know that we have Fundamental Duties also. Citizens are morally obligated by the Constitution to perform these duties. FDC online and offline challenge happenscontinuously year long in 3 phases.
First phase Starts on 26 Jan – Republic Day
Second phase starts on 15 Aug – Independence Day AND
Third phase starts on 26 Nov – Constitution Day.

It is very simple and easy three step act. It does not involve doing risky acts, no articles needed. What all you need to do is:
Step 1:
Record a video of you reading / performing the following text:
“It shall be the duty of every Citizen of India to protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers and wild life and to have compassion for all living creatures.”

Step 2:
Post it in any social media platform Facebook / YouTube / Instagram / Twitter / WhatsApp / LinkedIn / Tumbler / Etc.
Step 3:
Add hashtag #funduchallenge and tag at least one person to take up the challenge.
Here comes your opportunity to show your love for the Nature and the Nation.
You can also use this Camera Hole Placard A4 size to record video and ensure there is no mistake in reading the relevant Text as given in the Constitution. You need to ask your friend to hold the Placard for you and record the video as you read. For Placards in different languages please write to us.
There are many ways of doing a funduchallenge and come out with your FDC Creative:
- Make a video of yourself reading the FDC text in English/ Hindi / your language.
- Shoot a video of any natural element like a leaf, flower, tree, water stone, boulder, sky, clouds etc. while reading the FDC text so that your voice is added. Pls try to avoid any build environment like buildings walls etc.,
- Make a video of the camera hole placards ? in any language and add your voice.
- Make a simple text post with an image of some natural element to attract the public’s attention.
- Any other relevant creative idea of yours.
Note:
- Please add hashtag #funduchallenge this is important as without this the post cannot be searched.
- For non English pls add hashtag #fdcinXXX where XXX is language e.g. #fdcinhindi for Hindi.
